They chatter at us all day long…you know, those ‘voices in our heads’…those thoughts that can easily bring us down and lift us up, all in a matter of minutes. Some call it ‘self-talk’ or ‘internal dialogue’—this conversation that is going on inside our heads all the time…What if this pain I’m having is something serious?…I’m so bad at meeting other people…I’ll never get that job, even though I think I would be great at it…What if my car breaks down again tomorrow?….I only have losers asking me on dates…I just can’t seem to fit exercise into my day…My week is crazy busy…I don’t have time to eat healthy…What if my daughter doesn’t make it into the college of her dreams?…I can’t stand the people I work with… Get the picture?
