Who’s Illiterate? Just Checking…

The term illiterate is typically defined as one who is not able to read or write. But, as Marco Torres explains, “The coming generation of illiterate adults will be those who cannot unlearn, deschool or deprogram themselves from conventional thinking…those who cannot free themselves from mainstream opinions and thought processes that require individuals to think outside the box or get rid of the box entirely.”

The ability to think for ourselves and evaluate information appropriately can easily be lost in our fast-paced, media-driven world that provides an ongoing bombardment of self-serving promotion of products and slanted reviews to direct our thoughts in very specific ways.

Now more than ever, it is crucial for each of us to stay educated in all aspects of our lives, especially our HEALTH! That’s my goal for this blog: providing sound, current, and useful health updates so we can think for ourselves and evaluate information appropriately. Let’s stay literate!
